Notes: This early-1950s radar was based on the WWII British Type 291, which the USSR gained access to via Lend-Lease. It was a very basic P-band air search radar, with a single PPI display and a cruciform dipole antenna. The system was installed on a wide variety of warship types and a few sets were still in Soviet service as late as 1983; in Chinese service a few sets were still in use into the early 1990s.
