Herkules MG-15 “Wolf Paw” sonar
(USSR)
Notes: Entering service in 1957, this was the first Soviet sonar which could be integrated with a fire control computer. It also had a crude analog control which allowed it to perform pre-selected auto searches. (earlier sonars had to be manually trained and the operator had to manually press a button for each individual ping.
The “Kynda” class cruisers used an enhanced version of this sonar designated GAS-372.
