Notes: This was the military version of the Breguet 763 airliner, which first flew in 1949. The Sahara adaptation entered French AF service in 1958 and was used until the late 1960s. It was unique in it’s double-decker passenger cabin and “carp tail” ventral tail. A total of 15 were built; they all were used extensively supporting the French army in North Africa during the Algerian war.
