Notes: This CEV is based on the chassis of obsolete T-55 tanks which are being retired from the Serbian army. A large powered dozer blade is fitted, and the former turret ring is encased in an armored box with space for six passengers. The Munja (Serbian for “thunder”) is heavily armed for a vehicle of this type, with three 7.62mm machine guns and a 30mm full-auto grendade launcher; all of which can be fired from inside the vehicle. A large bank of smoke/CM launchers is also fitted. Weight of the Munja is 32t, max road speed 29mph. The vehicle is not amphibious.

As of January 2007 the program was ongoing; it is planned to convert 210 T-55’s into Munjas. This seems excessive for the Serbian army’s needs, it it’s possible that some are hoped to be sold abroad.
