Notes: This pair was intended to be part of a nine-ship frigate class; the other seven were cancelled. Crusader spent much of her career in reserve or reduced-manning status. In 1960, Crescent was modified with updated electronics and a VDS; while her sister-ship was decommissioned.
Combat usage: HMCS Crusader was active providing gunfire support during the Korean War.
