Prorbivatel (Project 1300) class MSD
(USSR)
Notes: These minesweeping drones began building in 1987; originally a large number to replace the Ilyusha (Project 1376) class was planned, however the end of the Cold War concluded production at just three hulls. They are manned by a skeleton crew until they reach the mined area, at which point a modified Vanya class minesweeper assumes radio control.
For some reason this class is often confused by the press with the Project 1415 (“Tanya”) class harbour launch; they are not the same thing.
